    Challenge: September 2016 Over-doing It
Ready to get back to cooler weather for a change?
Same here! For me, in the upper midwest, it's not the heat, it's the humidity.

This season is my favorite, so, of course I do too much too soon! That makes my knees cranky at the very least. As I age, I have to pay attention to inflammation signals.

    Symptoms of inflammation include:
    • Redness
    • Swollen joint that's sometimes warm to the touch
    • Joint pain
    • Joint stiffness
    • Loss of joint function

Goose, I think you're on the right track. It's sometimes a bit traumatic to stick to a food plan, so we may eat a little more of the "right stuff" for a bit of a reward, or to soothe our frayed nerves. That's still a warning sign for me! I have to stop it as soon as I notice it and dig into my feelings to see what triggered it and then deal with the feelings....

Tracy, glad you dodged the germs--did you end up doing the chocolate?

How are you doing with the tummy? There are always side effects, aren't there?

    Spruce Goose
Struggling a bit with post dinner snacking. During the week I can hold it together during the day because there aren't many choices but the evening rolls around and I get restless.

These days I'm starting to realize that part of my problem is that I'm not creating a calorie deficit. When I first started LC I wasn't worrying about calories and generally lost so I gave all the credit to what I was eating without really considering how much. Overall I think I do pretty good with breakfast/lunch...

Well, I dodged the chocolate tour bullet ;-) because it got canceled last weekend. :-( But we're trying again for this weekend.

And we seem to have dodged DD's sickness bullet too. Phew.

Otherwise I'm just kind of holding steady. Fighting a tummy ache off and on for about a week (not like DD's sickness, I don't think, more like my usual tummy woes from all my years of meds). I think if I took some pariet it would help, but I hate taking that stuff. It makes me gain while...
